late last year the Australian Federal Government introduced new mandatory legislation that covers the safety and instructional standards of products containing button/coin cell batteries. This legislation comes into effect in June 2022 and impacts many products across a wide range of industries including garage door and gate remotes.
Since then, KODE Remotes has been working with manufactures to ensure we will only be selling compliant garage door remotes and gate remotes. Some manufactures have completely redesigned their remotes to become compliant while some manufactures have chosen to discontinue some of their non complying remote families.
Come 1 June 2022 our range may look slightly different but rest assured everything available will meet regulations.
